Gusts that can reach 90 to 100 km/h. This is what awaits Seine-et-Marne this Monday January 6, 2025. While freezing rains affected part of the department January 4it is now the turn of a winter storm to make people talk about her.
21 departments on orange alert
In fact, Météo France has decided to place 21 departments on orange alert pour strong windsamong which we find Seine-et-Marne.
The storm is expected to hit the French coast this Sunday evening. It will then go back towards Ile-de-France and the Meuse and the Ardennes early in the morning, this Monday January 6. Regarding Seine-et-Marne, the alert is in effect from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Peaks at 100 km/h
Peaks of 80 km/h are expected near Montereau-Fault-Yonne, Moret, La Ferté-sous-Jouarre or even in Provins. In the west of the department, the wind could reach speeds of 90 km/h in Tousson and Chailly-en-Bière and even 100 km/h in Chelles.
Faced with this situation, the authorities are calling for the greatest vigilance when traveling on the roads or on public transport.
