A third Algerian influencer was arrested on Sunday in after violent remarks on social networks, said Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau. “Thank you to the state services, the magistrates and the police who made it possible to locate and arrest this individual this evening. Don’t let anything slip by,” he said on X.

The mayor of , Michaël Delafosse, and the prefect of Hérault reported to the courts on Saturday the publication on the social network TikTok of a video by this influencer residing in Montpellier, in which he called for violence against an Algerian demonstrator anti-diet. “Kill him, let him suffer,” says this Algerian influencer.

“Incitement to hatred is a crime”

Michaël Delafosse recalled on Saturday on X that “incitement to hatred is a crime” and that as such “this video leaves no doubt”. Video described by the prefect of Hérault, on the same social network, as “intolerable”.

“The intelligence services are studying these cases very closely,” declared the entourage of the Minister of the Interior, while two other Algerian influencers, Imad Tintin and Zazou Youssef, have already been arrested and will soon be tried.
