The body of Justine Roche, 24, missing since Friday January 3, was discovered in a body of water in Beaupréau, Maine-et-Loire. The young woman had left her home to walk her dog and had not been heard from since.
A worrying disappearance
The disappearance of Justine Roche had mobilized significant resources. The gendarmerie launched a call for witnesses on Saturday, widely relayed on social networks. Around 70 gendarmes took part in the search to try to find her.
The favored accidental hypothesis
The body of the young woman was found on Sunday morning in a “collective basin”. According to the Angers public prosecutor, Éric Bouillard, “the hypothesis is that she would have voluntarily gone into the basin to retrieve her dog”. At this stage, the accidental track is favored by the investigators.
