But the deputy for Seine-et-Marne recalled his conditions. And in particular, on the thorny issue of pensions. Olivier Faure demanded “a global discussion”while maintaining its request for a « suspension » of the reform raising the retirement age to 64 years, a « signal important » according to him.
For the socialist, we must “start by suspending (…), having a financing conference (…) at the end of which we can transition to a new system, find alternative financing.

Other subjects defended by Olivier Faure: the number of positions eliminated in National Education. He asked the government to reverse the 4,000 planned job cuts. A file now managed by the new tenant of rue de Grenelle Elisabeth Borne. But also “finance Ségur” of health, which made it possible to increase salaries in the hospital environment after the Covid-19 crisis.
On the political level, the socialist promised to “ oppose very firmly” to the measures proposed by “the right wing or even the extreme right” of the Bayrou government.
