Dakar, Jan 4 (APS) – Jaraaf will do everything to emerge victorious in their match against Opera United FC of Botswana, Sunday, for the fourth day of Group C of the African Football Confederation Cup ( CAF), declared his coach Malick Daff.

Dakar’s Jaraaf hosts Opera United FC from Botswana on Sunday at the Abdoulaye Wade stadium in a match counting for the fourth day of Group C of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Cup.
After its draw in the first leg at Gabaronne, Jaraaf is required to achieve a good result to maintain its chances of qualifying for the quarter-final.
Malick Daff assures that his team, which has two points in three matches, has been prepared since the start of the season to play the CAF Cup.
»We took a first step by qualifying for the group stages. Despite the difficult start, we have lost nothing. In this group, everything is still playable. It won’t be an easy match. But in football, nothing is impossible. You have to have self-confidence, remain humble, calm and work to win this match,” maintained the Senegalese technician.
Malick Daff regrets the absence of supporters at the stadium, following sanctions imposed on the Medina team in Dakar by the Confederation of African Football.
The disciplinary body of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) recently announced that it had sentenced Jaraaf to play four matches in interclub competition behind closed doors, following incidents that occurred at the Maître Abdoulaye Wade stadium during a match between the club. Last December 8, during the Jaraaf-USMA meeting in Algiers counting for the second day of the group stage of the CAF Cup, incidents occurred at the end of the meeting between the supporters of the two teams. Significant material damage was noted in the stands and locker rooms.
The representative of Senegal is thus sanctioned with four matches behind closed doors in interclub competition, two of which are suspended, applied in the event of a repeat offense in the next 12 months.
»We would like to have our supporters. Playing in a packed stadium is motivating for a coach and the players (…). We have to focus on the match. Even without the fans, our goal is to win,” he stressed.
The former coach of the U20 national team assures that his team worked well to claim the three points of victory. »We worked well. Tomorrow will be the big day. We know the opponent, we know their strong and weak points. We are waiting for tomorrow,” said Malick Daff.
