He is a liberal nurse, on tour in the town of Courriswho triggered the alert by hearing horn sounds and calls for help. Intrigued and concerned, he immediately contacted the fire department based on what he had heard. The situation suggested that a car accident had occurred nearby.

An extraordinary mobilization

Faced with this alarming situation, the departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis 81) mobilized nearly fifteen staffincluding a drone remote pilot. At the same time, the gendarmerie of the company dispatched personnel to the site, and 12 soldiers were mobilized to participate in the research. A helicopter from the air section also flew over the area in the hope of finding possible victims.

An end of operation without result

Despite all these efforts, no victim in damaged vehicle has not been identified. THE noises heard could come from a hunting song nearby or having been the result of a bad joke. At no time did the firefighters or the police receive a report concerning a disturbing disappearance or a accident.

Significant resources mobilized for a false alarm

After a day of intensive searches which yielded no results, the device was finally lifted at nightfall. This episode shows how vigilance is essential, but also how misunderstandings can lead to significant mobilizations of emergency services.
