Kédougou, Jan 4 (APS) – The deputy governor of the Kédougou region (east), in charge of development, Mouhamadou Moustapha Gaye, welcomed, on Saturday, the mobilization of the defense and security forces (FDS) to the occasion of the eighth edition of National Clean Up Day.
”Today, the clean-up day is marked by the massive presence of security forces here in Kédougou. It aims to encourage the population to take part in a continuous process of the quest for cleanliness,” he declared.
Mouhamadou Moustapha Gaye led a delegation overseeing clean-up activities on the banks of the Gambia River, towards the old water tower, and behind the Gomba district and the Le Bédik hotel.
The local administrative authority took the opportunity to invite the populations to mobilize more for periodic cleaning activities in the Kédougou region.
“It is not a matter of the defense and security forces and the administrative authorities but of everyone because the health dynamic must be maintained through citizen mobilization of the populations of Kédougou,” he called. .
Mouhamadou Moustapha Gaye assured that all measures are taken at the regional level to maintain the health dynamic through citizen mobilization.
The organization of this eighth edition of the national cleaning day is entrusted to the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
