Bakel, Jan 4 (APS) – The deputy prefect of Bakel, Ngor Pouye, magnified, on Saturday, the realization of the “Army-Nation” concept framework on the occasion of the 8th edition of National Cleanup Day.
»I would like to warmly thank the Armed Forces. Today we experienced the Army-nation concept, that is to say the Armed Forces for the population, the Armed Forces with the population, the Armed Forces alongside the population,” he declared.
In Bakel, the large cemetery and the health center were targeted for cleaning operations on the occasion of this edition, the organization of which is entrusted to the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
“Given the chosen theme, we cleaned the health center, but I think it is better not to dirty it instead of coming afterward to clean. I therefore invite residents to make a lot of effort in this direction, especially with plastic bags,” asked the deputy prefect of Bakel.
The local administrative authority welcomed the strong mobilization of the populations to support the Defense and Security Forces in this day also marked by a demonstration by firefighters on the use of motorcycle helmets.
Screening activities for high blood pressure, diabetes and blood donation are planned for Sunday at the military camp.
