United Arab Emirates and Switzerland agree to strengthen parliamentary cooperation

The President of the Federal National Council (FNC), Saqr Ghobash, has just met in Abu Dhabi with the President of the Council of States of the Swiss Confederation, Andrea Caroni.

During this meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen parliamentary relations, exchange expertise and visits, as well as improve coordination and consultation on various issues of common interest.

On this occasion, Saqr Ghobash highlighted the strong bilateral ties between the two friendly countries, stressing the importance of raising parliamentary cooperation to the height of the strategic partnership linking the two countries.

Likewise, the Emirati official noted that bilateral parliamentary collaboration offers promising prospects, capable of giving a strong boost to already solid economic and trade relations.

For his part, Andrea Caroni reaffirmed the commitment of the Swiss parliament to further promote cooperation with the Federal National Council in various areas.

He also praised the economic growth and remarkable development of the United Arab Emirates, highlighting the country’s enlightened policies in favor of international security, peace and stability.
