16 departments were placed in orange snow-ice warning this Saturday January 4, 2025: these are Pas-de-, , Seine-Maritime, , Oise, Aisne, Ardennes, , Meurthe- et-, Moselle, Meuse, Haute-Marne, Vosges, Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin and the Territoire de . A vigilance that runs from 8 p.m.

“A disturbance associated with a lot of mild air will sweep across the entire country in a southwest/northeast direction, this Saturday and the night from Saturday to Sunday. This disturbance will encounter a mass of cold air, causing snowfall and especially freezing rain for a few hours, the time for the mild air to gain definitively”indicates Météo in its 6 a.m. bulletin.

While snowfall could result in a few centimeters of accumulation in the border departments of the Grand-Est, this episode of freezing rain can make the roads extremely slippery and could last between 1 and 3 hours.

Note that icy is also reported on several portions of the D4 departmental road Pyrenees-Orientalesin the Garrotxes sector: notably between Ayguatébia and Sansa, on the access to Rallieu (D4), the Col de Creu road (Rallieu-Matemale), that of the Col de la Llose, or the access to Sansa and Caudiès-de-Conflent.
