Dakar, January 3 (APS) – The blood donation day organized Friday throughout the national territory by the Ministry of the Armed Forces as a prelude to the 8th edition of the national clean-up day made it possible to collect 1,217 bags of blood intended to supply regional blood banks.
This day made it possible to collect “1,217 bags of blood”, Colonel Amadou Makhtar Ndiaye, chief of staff of the Minister of the Armed Forces, told APS.
The Ministry of the Armed Forces is responsible for coordinating and organizing this first edition of the National “sétal sunu rééw” Day, scheduled for Saturday across the entire national territory.
It is placed on the theme “Seetal sa gokh, aar sa yaram: alongside the citizens, the armed forces are committed”.
The Ministry of the Armed Forces organized this blood donation day with the collaboration of the Ministry of Health and Social Action.
Apart from the blood donation activities which took place in Dakar, at the National Blood Transfusion Center (CNTS) and in the regional blood banks, free consultations also took place in the various medical centers of military garrisons across the country. country, we learned from the Army health service.
The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye will officially launch this edition at the Comico city, located in the commune of Yeumbeul nord, department of Keur Massar.
