Soldiers and a helicopter deployed
Firefighters immediately rushed to the scene. Finding no one, they carried out further searches over a wider area, between the D955 departmental road and the forest, that is to say on the southern part of the municipal ban. At night, it was not possible to locate a possible injured person or a lost person. The gendarmes from the territorial brigades of Sarrebourg and Dieuze returned to the scene. Around ten soldiers were deployed on the ground to continue the search the next morning, with the support of a helicopter which came to fly over the area, without further result.
Police stopped at several locations to try to hear and locate any calls. The device was lifted on Friday at noon.
