Maurice Ravel as the common thread. This is what was announced Marc Coppeyfestival director. Of April 4 to 21, 2025many orchestras and artists will be visiting Colmar to perform.
“International soloists, young talents, orchestras et regional choirs et Europeans, vocal or chamber music ensembles are our guests to serve a rich and varied program,” explains the director.
Here is the programme.
Traviata, recital and masterclass
On Friday April 4, a musical tale in Kamishibaï will be offered. It's called “A little samurai but a samurai nonetheless.”
On Sunday April 6, the conservatory violin festival will bring together students and teachers from the conservatories of Colmar, Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Saint-Louis and the music schools of Alsace.
On Wednesday April 16, at the municipal theater of Colmar, the very famous Traviata by Verdi will be offered in an opera concert version.
On Thursday, April 17, several activities will be offered: a public masterclass by Marc Coppey, a violin and piano recital by Gaëlle Spieser and Mathilde Nguyen and a concert by Hervé Niquet.
On Friday April 18, a reading concert, bringing together a storyteller (Robin Renucci) and an organ musician (Benoit Dumon).
The same day, you will also find a symphony concert and violin concerto, offered by the Prague Philharmonic.
On Saturday April 19, chamber concert by Philippe Bernold and symphony concert and concerto for violin & cello by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
Finally, on Sunday April 20, a vocal ensemble called “Les Métaboles” will perform.
To conclude the festival, the Van Kuijk quartet will perform.
