It’s a win-win arrangement. The “pocket money” system, supported by Grand , offers young minors the opportunity to carry out a mission during the school holidays within a community service in exchange for a little money and the concept is already very popular.

This allows Grand Montauban to enter into contracts with young people, for the implementation of local missions of general interest.

“By earning a little pocket money, they are brought into contact with the world of work
and its rules, while discovering professions. All while creating bonds with adults. It is also a way to combat the inactivity of this public during school holidays,” explains Grand Montauban.

How to participate?

To benefit from the system, young people must be between 15 and 18 years old and be domiciled in the territory of Grand Montauban.

They must be members of the Youth Center who wears the device, and will be able to participate in projects as well as actions and activities organized in this structure. To apply, the young person must submit a registration file (registration form and parental authorization for minors) to the Youth Service team.

For what missions?

The missions are proposed during the school holiday period : first week of autumn, winter, spring holidays, first two weeks of July and last week of August.

These missions are limited to four or five half-days per year and per young person – bonus of €15 net per three-hour half-day,paid in cash to young people through the advance and revenue management of the Youth Center.

A Youth service agent organizes the appropriate educational and technical support
during the course of the mission, in collaboration with municipal services and
communities that welcome young people.
