The young people of RFC Seraing are having a great season in D2 ACFF, and it is in particular thanks to two talents who are arousing a lot of interest.
The U23s of RFC Seraing are currently 7th in D2 ACFF, a position which allows them to stay quietly far from the red zone – or even to be able to think about a final round if RFC Seraing, in Challenger Pro League, does not change its position. side in D1 ACFF.
And these performances owe a lot to some young talents who are at the door of the A team. One of them is Abdul Botaka (20 years old), whose rise has been meteoric since he arrived last summer… from P4 Liège. This season, he is an indisputable starter in D2 ACFF (15 matches).
Botaka does not go unnoticed, because clubs from French Ligue 2, German D2 but also the Pro League have their eyes on him. And RFC Seraing could bite its fingers, because the central defender has not yet signed a contract with the Steelworkers.
The other Seresian talent in full swing is Jean-Pierre Longonda (22 years old), a player trained at LOSC where he reached the B team before experiencing a more chaotic journey. Having passed through UD Almeria and Fafe (Portugal), he arrived in Seraing last summer after almost signing in the Netherlands, at Vitesse Arnhem, where he had seduced John Van den Brom;
A defensive midfielder, he is nevertheless aligned at the forefront among the Seresian U23s… and stacks up the goals (9 in 14 matches, top scorer for the team). Which, unsurprisingly, earned him a lot of interest. Clubs from the Belgian upper echelons, including professional ones, would have inquired. Case(s) to be continued…
