At least 87 vehicles caught fire in Brest in 2024. In the same way as in 2022, the Brest editorial team of Le Télégramme kept up to date, based on its information, a map of all the cars and other vehicles that caught fire between the nights of New Year's Eve 2023 and 2024. One observation: no district of the city has really been spared by car fires, even if more persistent pockets can be located in the Pontanézen or Keredern districts.

If the count for the year 2023 is made particularly complex by the episode of urban riots at the beginning of the summer, one thing is certain: the toll remains lower in 2024. I need it every day to take the children to school and especially to work: I am a home helper. I can’t afford to buy another one,” a 24-year-old young woman testified to Le Télégramme.
