Fnac on the Champs-Elysées is about to disappear. For its last days on the Parisian avenue, it is offering a big clearance sale from January 3 to 12.
To sell off its last stocks before its final closure, Fnac on the most famous Parisian avenue is organizing a clearance sale. Meet at 74, avenue des Champs-Elysées.
After many cultural brands such as Virgin, Queen, Gaumont and UGC Normandie, Fnac des Champs-Elysées has also decided to close its doors. The brand will welcome its last customers on January 12, 2025.
The brand, which opened in 1997, will liquidate its funds during a major clearance sale, which takes place from this Friday until January 12.
Although rumors are rife as to the next tenant of the premises, no information has yet been confirmed. Fnac spokespersons nevertheless spoke for Challenges and declared that they are paying the price in particular for “the increasingly marked orientation of the avenue towards luxury retail and international customers”. What gives a clue about the next buyer?
hETm and zara in pole position for the future
According to their information, it will be a “large popular brand”. Enough to fuel speculation: the return of H&M or the appearance of a new Zara? One thing is certain, the next brand to set up shop at 74, avenue des Champs-Elysées will have to deal with high rent and increasingly higher charges each year. It is this reason that led Fnac to “the only economically reasonable and socially responsible decision”. Note that Fnac offered the store's 89 employees reclassification.
Challenges explains that the store which will come after the Fnac Darty group has already planned work on the premises.
