At the dawn of this new year 2025, Roberto De Zerbi's OM are second in the championship and still in the race to achieve their objectives of direct qualification for the Champions League. The RMC consultant, Walid Acherchour, thus took advantage of the 1st “ After Foot » from RMC this year to reveal his wishes for the Marseille club and its Lombard coach.
OM closed their 2024 year well with 4 successes in the last 5 matches and seem to have found the right formula since the victory in Lens at the end of November (1-3) and this transition from a 4-2-3-1 to a 3-4-3. A good dynamic that Acherchour would like to see continue in 2025.
“May De Zerbi succeed at OM”
On RMC, the 31-year-old consultant spoke of his wish for the Italian coach to succeed with OM:
« My fourth wish is that De Zerbi succeeds at OM. It's getting there but it was a little complicated at the start of the season, there was some turmoil, we even believed at one point in a departure because he had announced it at a press conference. I think that for the health of Ligue 1, if De Zerbi succeeds at OM, it is because OM is reducing the gap a little with Paris Saint Germain and we would therefore have a little more suspense”
To achieve the consultant's wishes, OM will have to start their year 2025 in the best possible way with the reception of Didier Digard's HAC, this Sunday evening at the Stade Vélodrome (8:45 p.m.).
