The general assembly of the Sentier association made it possible to take stock of 2024.
The Sentier association has now existed for 3 years, in close connection with the La Monotrace beer brand. The latter, now produced in two breweries (Brasserie du Larzac and de la Jonte), has three recipes. For each beer sold, 50 cents are donated to the Sentier association.
In 2024, brewers from Lozère and southern Aveyron donated €3,716 for the maintenance of the paths. That same year, the association carried out 9 projects on the paths of South Aveyron, such as, in particular, at La Roque-Sainte-Marguerite, upstream of the Trail de la Cité de Pierres.
“Create wealth in our territory”
She also worked in Lozère, in the Tarn gorges, around the hamlet of La Sablière, over a weekend or even in Pouncho, for the reopening of the mountain bike descent. “We are really satisfied, in three years we have tripled the profitswelcomes Paul Gayral, the initiator of this brand. Our volunteers are mostly retired, which poses a long-term problem. This is why we want to add an economic dimension which would make it possible to attract a young audience, to create paid projects and therefore create wealth in our territory. Today, we are supported by the community who see it as a lasting solution, but we hope to be recognized as being of general interest.”
Double the number of construction sites in 2025
In 2025 and thanks to the amount collected, the association plans to double its number of construction sites on the roads. “A heritage that must be maintained and therefore maintained. This is why the association undertakes, after requesting authorization, to maintain these spaces usable.”
