The 6th edition of Noël au Quai ended on December 24. The Geneva market ended on a positive note, according to the organizers. Despite a shortened 5-day event, “the number of visitors has practically not decreased”. According to the City of Geneva, daily attendance was “comparable to last year, or around 13,000 people per day”. In total, the event welcomed around 450,000 visitors in almost a month.
“The Christmas market has fully succeeded in its move to the Quai du Mont-Blanc. Today it brings together a large audience, enhances the harbor and contributes to the attractiveness of Geneva in winter, rejoices Marie Barbey-Chpuis, head of the Department of Security and Sports. We are very happy to have initiated this project and thank the organizers for their work.”
This year, the event took 3rd position among the best markets in Europe according to European Best Destinations. Information relayed by Forbes Magazine, thus providing international visibility to these festivities.
