Have you ever heard of the Via Francigena? This Council of Europe cultural route links Canterbury in England to Rome then Santa Maria di Leuca in southern Italy. It passes through Switzerland and Valais via the Saint-Maurice and the Col du Grand-Saint-Bernard.
