New Year's Eve 2024: bans and instructions in -Atlantique

Fireworks prohibited

Until Tuesday January 2 at 8 a.m., the use, carrying and transport of pyrotechnic articles are strictly prohibited in the municipalities of Métropole and the Nazairian urban community. This measure aims to limit the risk of accidents and noise pollution during the festivities.

Restrictions on the sale of alcohol

To prevent disturbances to public order, the takeaway sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in the towns of Nantes and Saint-Nazaire during the evening. This restriction also applies to the consumption of alcohol on public roads, a measure which will be closely monitored by law enforcement.

Fuel transport under control

The prefecture has also decided to prohibit the distribution and purchase of fuel in transportable containers. Domestic fuels will not be available at the pump during this critical period. This precaution aims to prevent any misuse that could harm the safety of residents.
