His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to the American President, Mr. Joseph R. Biden, following the death of the former President of the United States of America, Mr. Jimmy Carter.
In this message, the Sovereign claims to have learned with “great sadness” of the death of Mr. Jimmy Carter, “a man of reconciliation and dialogue”, paying tribute to the legacy of the late American President.
In this sad circumstance, His Majesty the King expresses his sincere condolences and deep sympathy to Mr. Biden, the loved ones of the deceased and the American people.
His Majesty the King evokes, in this message, the official visit that the late HM King Hassan II, may God rest his soul in His holy mercy, made to the United States of America, at the invitation of the late Jimmy Carter.
“The meetings held on this occasion reaffirmed the depth and breadth of the long-standing relations uniting the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America. They also highlighted the strategic nature of their partnership as well as their convergence of views on issues related to peace,” underlines the Sovereign.
