A few days after the dismissal of its coach Jan Cadieux, Genève-Servette scored a valuable victory against Bienne. The Grenat won 6-4 against the Vernets in the National League.
Under the leadership of Yorick Treille, promoted to the position of head coach alongside Rikard Franzen – the latter is still involved with the Swiss selection at the U20 World Cup – the GSHC made the difference at the start of the second half. Four goals scored in the space of four minutes got the better of the Zealanders, who had nevertheless reached the locker room in the lead (2-1) thanks to a double from Fabio Hofer.
The Swiss players from the end of Lake Geneva, not very decisive lately, took advantage of the generosity of the Bienne defense. Simon Le Coultre, Roger Karrer, Tanner Richard and Vincent Praplan each took turns deceiving HCB goalkeeper Harri Säteri, who remained in front of the net.
The Finnish goalkeeper managed to stop the bleeding and Biel returned to the score, first through Aleksi Heponiemi (33rd), then through Lias Andersson (58th). But Praplan scored a double in the empty cage to seal the success of the Garnet, who returned to the level of Biennois, Friborg and Lugano in the standings.
