After the shock of the death of a man on the road in a small town in Isère on Friday evening, one of his sons was arrested in the Paris region this weekend.
Friday December 27, 2024, the firefighters were powerless to resuscitate a 64-year-old man, found on a road in Isère in Charvieu-Chavagneux. Emergency services intervened thanks to a witness who saw the victim being thrown from a moving car. Car which then ran over the man before fleeing.
While a murder investigation had been opened, a person was arrested the next day in the Paris region. The Vienna public prosecutor's office confirmed that it was the victim's son.
The already known son of justice
According to information from our colleagues at Dauphiné Libéré, the investigation quickly turned to one of the sons of the 64-year-old man thrown from the car. For good reason, it would already be the subject of a research file. After the tragedy, he fled to the Paris region, where he was arrested on Saturday.
The avenue of a family dispute is favored for the moment. Investigators have yet to clarify how the father was thrown from the moving car, and potentially whether his son was the only other person on board.
