As expected, a sudden change in weather is about to affect France over the next few hours. As strong gusts of wind sweep across regions near the English Channel, rain will also reach the northwest this evening. This cold front, active and sometimes accompanied by sustained precipitation, will be followed by a significantly colder air mass.
Indeed, a descent of polar air will fall on France in the coming hours, with a shift in winds to the northern sector and a marked drop in temperatures after the passage of the front. Temperatures will fall significantly below seasonal norms again, with snowfall expected locally up to the plains in the north-east of the country.
