The Prefect of Gard, Jerome Bonetdon't waste time. As the end-of-year festivities approach, he published a series of prefectural decrees valid on the entire department for the next New Year's Eve.

Specific regulations

Between the Tuesday December 31, 2024 at 1 p.m. and the Thursday January 2, 2025 at 7 a.m.several decisions were taken regarding alcohol, fuels and the fireworks notably. The objective is toanticipate and prevent all risks of disturbances to public order.

Consumption and take-out of alcohol is prohibited within the period provided for by the prefectural document.

0 tolerance on fireworks

The state representative in Gard does not want to see illicit fireworks appear in the department during New Year's Eve.

It is for this reason that theacquisition, transfer, port, transportation and sale fireworks are also strictly prohibited.

The same goes for fuels and chemicals. Distribution, transportation, sale and purchase fuels and all flammable or chemical products in transportable containers are prohibited.

The distribution, sale and purchase of gas cylinders are also prohibited during this period.
