Organizers of the International Forum of Industry, Fisheries and Seafood Exhibition in St. Petersburg have revealed new announcements for 2025, including the participation of Morocco as a key partner. A fact which comes after the recent renewal of the fishing agreement between Rabat and Moscow.

Ivan Fetissov, general director of Expo Solutions Group, revealed that cooperation with Morocco would be a focal point for next year’s event. “Our efforts are focused on developing trade relations with countries in Africa and the Middle East, and Morocco plays a strategic role in this dynamic”he declared. The 2025 exhibition aims to strengthen ties with Moroccan markets and organize business meetings between Russian producers and fishing stakeholders in Morocco.

The organizers also plan to present innovative technologies in the field of aquaculture and finished seafood products, sectors of interest for Morocco, where the fishing industry is in full development. Morocco, with its vast coastline and strategic position as a crossroads between Africa and Europe, constitutes a key market for Russian seafood products.

Russian participation in international events, including those to be held in Morocco from February 5 to 9, 2025, is part of a desire to establish bilateral cooperation in the fishing sector, with a view to stimulating trade and increase Russian exports, particularly with the kingdom. Organizers also plan meetings and discussions on best practices in aquaculture and fish processing technology.

This new approach is part of a broader project to diversify commercial partnerships for the Russian fishing industry with Morocco as a key strategic partner for 2025 and beyond.
