Should Standard be content with its first part of the season? “Two attackers but zero creativity” – All football

Throughout the season, Ivan Leko limited the damage with what he could at Standard. Philippe Albert judges his last months at the head of the team.

Philippe Albert saw the Standard between seventh and twelfth place this season. The Rouches are currently tenth but will still face five of the six best teams in the last ten matches of the classic phase.

With 12 goals scored in 20 games (including only three away), the problem is clearly offensive: “You have two attackers, but no creativity in the center of the field,” Albert told SudInfo.

The Standard in its place?

Up front, Andi Zeqiri and Dennis Ayensa are not stingy with their efforts and even embody the house style. But their supply is extremely limited: “We cannot be in the top 6 if we are so powerless in front of goal.”

The three midfielders run a lot but don’t really run the ball. Is there just one profile to change the situation? “They need to deal with this situation as they are doing now, or else devote their financial resources to building a strong team,” continues Philippe Albert.

Certain reinforcements like Viktor Djukanovic or Marko Bulat were supposed to bring this creativity but the graft did not take. Being the one who keeps the game breathing in these conditions is not easy, will the January transfer window make it possible to correct things?
