A check worth €16,400 in favor of the association Autism Together 95 was presented by the Orange Foundation, Monday December 16, to the Autisme Ensemble association, located at 37, rue de Rouen, in Pontoise (Val-d'Oise).
On this occasion, Isabelle Rolland, president of the association and also co-president of the national network Autisme sans frontières, presented the unit founded in 2013 by parents of autistic children.
In Pontoise, they have well-defined spaces to work, cook, isolate themselves, learn to interact with the outside world, etc.
The project for which the Orange Foundation is supporting concerns the program alternative augmented communication. The foundation's grant should allow them to purchase several tablets and communication software.
Each child has a tablet equipped with augmented alternative communication software. It offers a method based on images or words (depending on whether the child can read or not) to express themselves, ask for something, or to follow a recommendation and interact with the supervisory staff and their family.
This support is completely in line with the Orange Foundation's commitment to promoting the inclusion of people with autism.
Children who spend a day with the association carry out manual activities and can help themselves from their tablet. For some, the notion of time is important and the software also allows them to find their way in space to know, for example, when this or that activity takes place.
Emmanuel Brulon, director of relations with local authorities in Val-d'Oise, presented the check to Isabelle Rolland, president of the Autisme Ensemble 95 association, in the presence of Pascale Paturle, Orange France health/disability sponsorship director, Diane Larue -Nicoué-Béglah: digital inclusion project manager and Orange Île-de-France Foundation and Thu Thuy Nguyen, Orange Idf foundation apprentice.
