A new residence in Quincy-Voisins. The lessor Trois Moulins Habitat will build 23 social housing unitsat 12 rue Carnot, on a plot of 1,943 m2, near the intergenerational residence and the neighboring Jacques Brel school. Delivery is scheduled for the month of June 2026.
These accommodations will be distributed over three collective buildings composed of a ground floor, a first level and attic space. There will be no elevator. “The project integrates a bicycle room, a household waste collection area and a maintenance room» specifies the Pays de Meaux agglomeration.
The residence will also benefit from five gardens/terraces . The lessor will also create 24 new parking spaces.
A need in Quincy-Voisins
These new accommodations respond to a need in the commune of Quincy-Voisins and in the agglomeration of Pays de Meaux. Indeed, the solidarity and urban renewal law (SRU) requires municipalities with more than 3,500 inhabitants (1,500 inhabitants in the urban unit of Paris) to have 25% social housing. As of January 1, 2021, Quincy-Voisins only benefited from 7.4%.
It is also a response to the demolition of the towers in the Beauval district of Meaux. As part of the major urban renewal program launched 30 years ago, the municipality destroys large tripods of 17 levels to rebuild buildings on a human scale. Since 2018, and until 2030, 1,190 housing units in districts A and C will be demolished, and reconstruction will not take place not exclusively in Meaux.
Indeed, 417 housing units must be located in other municipalities of the agglomeration, by prioritizing “those being in deficit with regard to article 55 of the SRU law”, indicates the Pays de Meaux, during the community council of November 22, 2024. The agglomeration has also granted a grant of €66,240in Trois Moulins Habitat for the construction of these 23 social housing units.
