The La Quercynoise cooperative wishes to commit 21.5 million euros to modernize its site in Gramat. The strategic orientation is broad for the entire fatted duck sector.
In order to modernize and adapt its production and processing tools fat ducks and meat ducksthe La Quercynoise cooperative will invest €21.5M over several years in Gramat. A colossal strategic project which required fundraising, in which the company U participatednigrains. This investment company specializing in agri-food and agro-industry will invest €4 million in La Quercynoise.
Created in 2001, a subsidiary of the NATERA cooperative (resulting from the recent merger of the CAPEL and UNICOR cooperatives) based in the Lot, La Quercynoise is a major producer group in the north-east of Occitanie bringing together more than 150 duck breeders.
2 to 2.5 million fatted ducks per year
“In an integrated sector management approach, La Quercynoise covers both the production, processing and marketing activities of approximately 2 to 2.5 million fatted ducks per year. With a turnover of 80 million € and more 400 employees, La Quercynoise is a regional leader and the 5e national player in its sector”, underline the partners.

The terms of Unigrains' investment will also be indexed to performance indicators such as environmental transition, animal welfare and employee health and safety.
