The town of Ham reiterates its requests for subsidies for its heritage in 2025
The town of Ham reiterates its requests for subsidies for its heritage in 2025

The last municipal council of the town of Ham took place on Monday, December 16. On the agenda, updating of 2025 prices, but also an update on current and future projects, for which opposition elected officials in particular are questioning the financing possibilities in view of the national and departmental context .

1. Towards the end of wasteland in the city

After having signed an operational agreement with the EPF or public land establishment, with a view to the acquisition and deconstruction of the warehouses located on rue Salvador Allende, the municipality wishes to reiterate the collaborative operation with the EPF for a land and real estate complex of three houses, located on avenue André Delorme, for security reasons. Once acquired and the buildings demolished, the municipality plans a real estate operation on the site. But firstly, it involves signing a pre-operational agreement with the EPF to benefit from legal assistance and co-financing of a flash study.

2. PRM footbridge at Délicourt Park in Ham

The city wishes to install a PMR (people with reduced mobility) footbridge in Délicourt Park which will allow the connection between the city center and the sports center. Its cost is estimated at €289,700 excluding taxes. As the file was not accepted by the State in 2024, the city again submitted a subsidy request under the DSIL (Local Investment Support Grant) for €173,820, or 60% of the amount excluding tax.

3. Rehabilitation of Ham’s Gaston Lejeune stadium

The Gaston Lejeune stadium rehabilitation project is progressing little by little. As a reminder, the project selected consists of: development of paths, creation of covered areas for pétanque, creation of a landscaped area and parking along Boulevard de la Liberté, creation of a football training ground, provision of regulatory standards for the second pitch, the creation of a transition space between the canal and the stadium, and the creation of a car park on rue Charles Gronier.

For the moment, only the departmental subsidy has been granted, it amounts to €281,240 or 40% of the amount excluding tax. The National Sports Agency (ANS) and the State under the DETR were not granted in 2024. The city is currently awaiting a return of another subsidy from the ANS and wishes to reiterate a request to from the State for an amount of €93,957.50 (i.e. 13%).

4. The rehabilitated village hall

In order to best finance the rehabilitation of the village hall, elected officials voted in favor of a new request for a subsidy from the State (DETR/DSIL/Green Fund) for 18.4% of the amount excluding tax, or €341,741.79.

5. Restoration of the Notre-Dame church

In order to complete the financing for the restoration work on the church, a request for the building competition fund from the community of municipalities for €171,066.08 was voted.
