The body of Antony, 16, found hanged after two weeks of disappearance

This Saturday afternoon, a hunt organized in Voiron, in Isère, made it possible to find Papet, a 16-year-old teenager who had been missing since December 5.

The young man's body was discovered hanging from a tree in the undergrowth near his mother's home, after only an hour of searching.

Antony's disappearance had mobilized nearly a hundred volunteers for this search, according to information relayed by 3 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and confirmed by Le Dauphiné Libéré. In the evening, the public prosecutor's office confirmed that it was indeed Antony, reports France Bleu Isère.

A difficult family context

Antony Papet had been placed in a shelter for a year and had the habit of running away regularly. On December 5, he took refuge with his mother but left the home in a hurry after an argument with his brother. He only took his cell phone with him.

Faced with this disappearance, considered worrying, a call for witnesses was launched by the local authorities and relayed on social networks.

An autopsy to clarify the circumstances

If the suicide trail is currently favored by investigators, an autopsy will be carried out in the coming days in order to determine exactly the causes of death.

This tragedy aroused great emotion in the town of Voiron and within the young man's entourage, who will remember his disappearance and this tragic outcome.
