Like every year, around a hundred people will jump into the water on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) for the traditional Christmas bath organized by the FSGT 06 in partnership with the City.
It will take place this Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 11:45 a.m.
A popular bath open to all
Every year, many people take part in this tradition of the Côte d'Azur. The famous Christmas bath will take place this Sunday, December 22, 2024. The meeting is given from 10:30 a.m. Several activities are planned all morning before taking the plunge.
- 10:30 a.m.: pointy parade
- 10:45 a.m.: parade of kayaks and cheerleaders
- 11:15 a.m.: swimming race
- 11:45 a.m.: big popular Christmas swim
The required disguise (and the swimsuit too)
The temperature of the Mediterranean Sea is approximately 15 degrees currently. For the bravest, the event is open to all. It’s also an opportunity to dress up in Christmas colors or simply wear the famous Santa hat.
The disguise remains essential in any case, as does the swimsuit (preferable all the same). A moment of joy and sharing before the end-of-year holidays. This tradition is organized in many towns on the Côte d'Azur.
