What to do in Saint-Brieuc and surrounding areas this weekend of December 21 and 22?

Throughout the weekend, the town of Saint-Brieuc offers a wide choice of Christmas activities. Saturday, November 21, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., you can board a horse-drawn carriage for a lovely ride departing from Place Saint-Guillaume, handle the curious Percu-roule music box at Place Du Guesclin or even let yourself be carried by the magical shadow puppet tales of Yann Quéré and Marine Ginod, place de la Grille. Sunday, November 22, at the same times, you can have your makeup done at Place de la Grille or attend a “Wooden Christmas decorations” workshop, with the Ludik association.

On December 1st, Andréa never put down her brush. The faces of the toddlers followed one another without interruption between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., rue Saint-Gouéno, in Saint-Brieuc. A new workshop will take place this Sunday. (Le Télégramme/Benoît Tréhorel)

Finally, several shows will take place occasionally: on Saturday, don't miss the Noëllissime of the conservatory, at 3 p.m., at La Passerelle, but also the Christmas of the little singers of Providence, at 5:30 p.m., at Saint-Étienne Cathedral. On Sunday, the Remue Ménage company will take over the streets of the city center, from Place Du Guesclin to Place de la Grille, for a stroll made up of giant puppets, dancers and other stilt walkers.

  • 2 The illumination of the Porcher, Eouzan and Travadon armaments at the port of Légué

19 trawlers from the Costa Rican shipping lines Porcher, Eouzan and Travadon returned to their traditional quarters at the end of December, at the port of Légué, Quai Surcouf, on the Saint-Brieuc side. Absent since 2022, they are adorned with light at nightfall, giving the opportune walker the opportunity to admire these sparkling illuminations which have a grandiose effect, thanks to their reflection on the water. The ships will be present until the beginning of January. The Chamber of Industry and Commerce specifies that, for the moment, no on-board visit is planned.
