The Provencal village of Baux-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône), located an hour's drive from Marseille, dresses up in its most beautiful clothes for the Christmas holidays.

Here is everything you can do there, especially during this weekend of December 21 and 22, but also on the 24th.

Magic of Christmas and Provençal traditions

In order to perpetuate the magic of Christmas, the village of Baux-de-Provence offers several activities, in addition to its decorations, linked to the end-of-year celebrations and Provençal traditions.

From December 21 and until January 5 (except December 25 and January 1) it is possible to attend the Christmas sheepfold and the parade of its sheep, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

On December 21, 22, 23 as well as January 1, 2, 4 and 5, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the refrains of the barrel organ will resonate in the alleys of the village, attracting young and old alike.

Concert, midnight mass, figurines…

A “Willow Street Christmas concert” is also on the program on December 21, at 4 p.m., offering several standards and Christmas nuggets, performed a cappella by the Willow Street singers. It takes place at Saint-Vincent Church and it's free, once again.
