Without ever taking shelter, LOSC still managed to get rid of the Rouen trap to validate (0-1) its qualification for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France. Here are the grades we give Les Mastiffs at the final whistle.
Vito Mannone (6) : For his first start of the season, the Italian goalkeeper had very little work to do but he was vigilant on his aerial outings and on a shot into the area in the second half.
Thomas Meunier (5) : In the right lane of defense, the Belgian international tried to show himself offensively but his relationship with Mitchel Bakker was difficult for a long period. There were spaces behind his back that he managed quite well in his returns.
Bafodé Diakité (6.5): The Lille central defender was uncompromising defensively despite the athletic quality imposed by Letono in particular. He even threw himself with the ball and to good effect on a few occasions.
Aïssa Mandi (5.5): The Algerian international started his meeting badly with a poor assessment of a duel offering a situation to the Rouennais. Subsequently, he was much more solid and efficient, particularly in his reading of the game to cut off Rouen and prevent his men from developing their attacks.
Ismaily (6) : He also started his meeting badly on the defensive level before gradually raising the cursor. He then demonstrated all his technical qualities, allowing him to score the only goal of the match. He gradually lost his footing in the second half before giving up his place.
Ayyoub Bouaddi (5,5) : In the Lille midfield, he seemed to have difficulty finding his position at the start of the match before finding his bearings in his relationship with Mukau, creating a lot of gaps through his stalls and his ability to verticalize the game in one pass.
Ngal'ayel Mukau (5.5): The Congolese international played a sober match, without jokes, but with great accuracy to guide Lille's game wisely.
Mitchel Bakker (4) : In a right winger position where he is starting to get used to, the Dutchman did not have a great night. Although he made numerous shifts and his technical relationship with the three other Lille attackers hurt the Rouen defense, he missed two goal situations by not targeting his attempts.
Rémy Cabella (5): Prominent and as generous as ever, the Lille number 10 had some inspiration to serve his teammates but not enough to have a permanent influence on Lille's offensive play.
Osame Sahraoui (6.5): The Moroccan has long seemed untenable as he hurt his opponents, especially in small spaces. He could have finished the match with two or even three assists if his teammates had been fairer.
Jonathan David (5,5) : Decisive passer of a subtle delivery for Ismaily, the captain of the evening did a lot in front of the goals, sometimes even forgetting his teammates. But his unfailing involvement was important in keeping and recovering the balls high at the end of the match.
