The Sporting Club de Bastia won without difficulty against RC Saint Joseph (R1 of Martinique) during the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France. At home, Sporting won a large 5-0 victory, thus concluding the 2024 calendar year in fine style.
A clearly dominated first half
From the start of the meeting, the Bastiais knew how to impose their rhythm. In the 24th minute, the elusive Lisandru Tramoni opened the scoring with a precise shot from the right, quickly followed by Clément Rodrigues who doubled the lead a minute later.
Sporting continued their momentum and added a third goal thanks to Dumè Guidi in the 30th minute on a ball from Tramoni, before Amine Boutrah sealed the first half with a fourth goal just before the break (45').
A well-managed second period
With a comfortable lead, Sporting managed the second half calmly, while showing diligence. Félix Tomi scored the fifth and final goal of the match in the 75th minute, confirming the locals' control.
A logical qualification
Faced with a hierarchically inferior team, Sporting was able to enforce logic without excess zeal. This victory allows them to qualify for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France and end the year on a positive note.
Happy holidays everyone and Forza Bastia!
