the essential
While Bordeaux-Bègles travels to Pierre-Fabre this Saturday (9:05 p.m.), Castres Olympique will host the vice-champion of France with a XV very little changed compared to that lined up against Munster.
We take the same ones and start again. Or almost. Convinced by the performance delivered during the victory against Munster on Friday December 13 (16-14), the Castres staff decided to renew their starting XV almost identically for the arrival of Bordeaux-Bègles this Saturday evening in Pierre- Fabre (9:05 p.m.). Only three changes were made by Jeremy Davidson and his deputies.
Among the three-quarters, the only change to note is the tenure of Santiago Arata at number 9, while Jérémy Fernandez slides to the bench. The Uruguayan will be associated at the hinge with Louis Le Brun. For the rest of the backs, the duo Adrea Cocagi-Jack Goodhue will be at the center of the attack, while Geoffrey Palis and Rémy Baget will occupy the corridors. Julien Dumora will wear the 15 on his back.
The two other changes made by the staff are therefore in the pack. Already on the front line, where Will Collier will give way to Levan Chilachava, who will be accompanied by Quentin Walcker and Gaëtan Barlot at the heel. Another leaving the XV, Gauthier Maravat, replaced by Guillaume Ducat in the second line. Second line which will be completed by the Fijian Leone Nakarawa. For the third line, very active like Munster a week ago, the trio will be the same with captain Mathieu Babillot and Tyler Ardron as flankers, and Abraham Papali'i at number 8.
