As the end-of-year holidays approach, there remains some Christmas markets open in Calvados. Between sparkling chalets, gourmet delights, magical activities and unique gift ideas, here is the selection of Liberty Caenfrom this Saturday, December 21, 2024 to the beginning of January 2025.

Six Christmas markets to visit in Caen and Calvados

1. In Caen, The Christmas market is open until Sunday December 29 on Place de la République, Boulevard Leclerc and Rue Bellivet. Visitors, already numerous, except on stormy days, will be able to stroll among around fifty chalets offering crafts, jewelry, Normandy local products, etc.

2. In Bayeux, the Christmas market enlivens Place de la Liberté and rue Lambert-Leforestier, near the cathedral, until Tuesday, December 24.

3. In Lisieuxwe are not left out with a Christmas market and a parade, this Saturday December 21 and Sunday December 22 at the stadium in the Hauteville district.

4. In Douvres-la-Délivrandeanother large Christmas market is announced these same days (from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.), at the Notre-Dame de la Délivrande reception house, as part of its winter show.

5. HAS Mézidon-Canon, from December 21 to January 3, every afternoon continuously (closed December 25 and January 1) at the castle. 6. To May-sur-Orne, on December 21 and 22, in the outdoor village hall, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. On the program: gourmet stands, the presence of Santa Claus, an ice rink and numerous activities for the whole family.
