Two investigations are being carried out by the police after attacks where knives were used by the attackers in Maourine, in the north of Toulouse and then in Reynerie.
Video surveillance agents spotted a fight early Thursday evening at Place de la Maourine, Croix-Daurade district in Toulouse. The alert was quickly transmitted to the BST north teams who monitor this sector.
When the police arrived, there was no more fight in progress but an injured man was still in the square. This 16-year-old minor suffered from a shoulder injury. He was taken care of by firefighters and evacuated to the emergency room of Purpan hospital. His injury was considered superficial.
With the help of municipal police officers from the video surveillance center, a suspect was arrested. This homeless boy, aged only 13 (!), was brought back to the central police station. The reasons for the altercation between these two minors, already known to the police, remain very unclear.
And a little later, shortly before midnight, a cyclist who was returning home by bike was attacked by two individuals who were riding a scooter. Arriving behind the cyclist, these men on scooters stuck a knife in his back. The attack took place in the Reynerie district around 11:30 p.m. The victim found the strength to return home before raising the alarm.
When he was taken into care, the emergency services were pessimistic but the follow-up examinations at the Rangueil hospital emergency room were quickly reassuring. The 22-year-old victim was able to return to his home in Toulouse in the early morning. His attackers have disappeared. The origin of the dispute, if it exists, remains very nebulous.
These two cases are not linked to each other.
