Things are moving among the Petits Débrouillards

A new president and new projects emerged from the last general assembly of the scientific association Les Petits Débrouillards.

Didier Lairez, physicist and director of research at the École Polytechnique, took the reins of this organization well established in the landscape. It has a clear objective: to reconcile citizens with science.

With this philosophy, Didier Lairez intends to rely on the dynamism of the Petits Débrouillards, who multiply initiatives for all audiences, from children to adults via young people in difficulty.

Projects that rely on “what works well”, such as the partnership with educators from the Youth Judicial Police, which makes it possible to address themes that speak to young people (addictions, screens, etc.).

Another flagship initiative: the shared Rosoirs garden, supported by the Auxerre Housing Office (OAH), which will benefit from technical support from the Parc association. A collaborative space where residents can discover the benefits of biodiversity and sustainable gardening.

2025 under the sign of the ocean

Les Petits Débrouillards places the year 2025 under the sign of the ocean. Jérémy Pinto and Thomas Sasportas, leaders within the association, announce several actions around this theme. Among them, the O Fil de l'O or Récid'eau project, carried out in partnership with CNRS researchers. These initiatives aim to raise awareness among young and old about the protection of aquatic environments and the importance of marine ecosystems. Other projects for the city's neighborhoods are being prepared.

Schools are not left out. The Brazza school will collaborate with the Petits Débrouillards and the accommodation and social reintegration center (CHRS) on the theme “From seed to plate”, a project linked to sustainable agriculture and responsible food. For its part, the Paul-Bert college will benefit from a nature discovery area and an original initiative called “Rando science”, combining scientific exploration and outdoor activities.
