We are there! Last day of the week, last day before vacation and last day of fall. Saturday, December 21 will therefore be marked by the start of winter and we will gain a little more light every day… at least when the weather is nice! We’re bringing you the latest Hello Lorient! of the week…
Sun and rain
It’s 4°C this morning in the Lorient region and for the moment the sky is clear. We will therefore see the sun rise at 8:59 a.m. Clouds will quickly move in with a few scattered showers during the day and the maximum temperature will be 12°C. For the first day of the weekend and the Christmas holidays, the sun will generally be out but a westerly wind will blow between Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
The Foundry fixed on its fate?
For two weeks, the employees of the Foundry have been in complete uncertainty regarding the future of the Caudan site. Their fate was initially to be determined late Thursday afternoon. But the video meeting with the Minister of the Economy, Marc Ferracci, was postponed this Friday to 10 a.m. The founders could be determined on their fate today.
How many are we?
Between 2016 and 2022, the country of Lorient gained 6,314 inhabitants according to figures revealed this Thursday by INSEE. As of January 1, 2022, we were therefore 226,680 inhabitants. Lorient and Lanester are in the ranking of the ten most populated cities in Brittany. Do you want to know the number of inhabitants in your city? It’s over here.
And to discover the distribution of the 3.4 million Bretons, Le Télégramme has prepared a video for you:
On the road…
We finish with a short tour of the roads.
And as this Friday marks the start of the holidays, traffic is expected to be difficult in the direction of departures. Bison futé classified Saturday as green with usual conditions.
On the public transport side, the following lines are impacted by a social movement from the beginning of the afternoon: T1a, T1b, T2, T3, T5, 10 and 13.
Today we wish the Théophiles a happy birthday.
Have a nice day and a good start to your vacation everyone!
