Marseilles. A huge crowd expected at the Old Port, around a hundred stops not served

This Saturday, December 21, Christmas celebrations are being organized at the Old Port in Marseille. During the day, a large Christmas sale will be organized, followed in the evening by a fireworks show.

On this occasion, the RTM transport network adjusts its timetables and routes. Here are the details.

The Old Port in celebration

Already organized during the arrival of the Olympic flame in Marseille, a new show with nearly 600 droneslasers and pyrotechnics is scheduled for this Saturday, December 21 from 8 p.m. This grandiose event, which will enhance the Christmas festivities, will take place from the Old Port.

Earlier today, the Old Port will host a big clearance sale traders, offering a wide choice of products and artisanal creations.

Modified transport

In order to enable the smooth running of the traders’ clearance sale and the fireworks show, the RTM is adapting and modifies the service of these linesSaturday December 21 as follows:

Metro M1/M2
– Reinforced service from 4 p.m.
– At 6:00 p.m.: closure of the Vieux-Port (M1), Colbert (M1) and Jules Guesde (M2) stations.
– At 8:00 p.m.: Noailles station, only the Commissariat access is open.

Tram T3: service interrupted from start of service until 7:30 p.m.
Please note: the service is normally provided on Tram T1 and T2.

Maritime Network
Ferry-Boat: service interrupted from 10:00 a.m. to end of service.
Friuli shuttle “Le Bateau”
– Last departure from the Old Port to Le Frioul: 9:50 a.m.
– The 10:25 a.m. departure from Frioul docks at MuCEM Darse Ouest.
– From 9:50 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., departures and arrivals take place from MuCEM Darse Est (at the end of the dike).
