The General Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship of Women and Youth (DER-FJ) of Senegal announced a major investment of 3 billion FCFA to support the ecosystem of Senegalese startups. This funding is part of its initiative LionsTechaimed at boosting digital and technological innovation in Senegal.
This initiative targets early-stage and growing companies across diverse sectors, including fintech, digital health, education, agriculture and e-commerce. The main objective is to position Senegal as a technological hub in West Africa, while strengthening the capacities of young local entrepreneurs.

LionsTech also includes mentoring programs, partnerships with international companies and easy access to global markets. This investment is in addition to numerous government initiatives in favor of digital transformation, in a context where Senegal seeks to become a hub of the digital economy.
