The time to pay the bill has arrived. More than a month after the stormy end of the match in Chartres, where scuffles broke out at the end of the match between several players, leading to the suspension, on the Blesois side, of Thomas Hieu-Courtois and Maxime Sconard, the ADA presents itself this Friday December 20 at Gries-Souffel without his strong winger and his fullback.
The first, suspended for three matches (Gries, Antibes on the 27th and Monaco in the Coupe de France on January 7), will be able to return on January 11 at Boulazac; the second will be operational again for the arrival of Antibes.
“Our way of playing will not change”
“It’s not going to change much. yet assures David Morabito. We have a playing philosophy that we stick to. It will require small adjustments because we are losing position 4 and a creator. But our way of playing, our DNA will not change. »
This “way of playing”, based on balanced playing times and scoring, has so far favored the Blésois, back on the podium two victories behind the leaders, Orléans and Boulazac. And the successes in Roanne then against Hyères-Toulon made it possible to move forward after the autumn wind gap (four defeats between November and early December).
“It’s good for the head and legs. We found the ingredients that made us produce good basketball at the start of the season. We hadn’t changed the way we worked, but there was a little grain of sand that had a little impact on energy and confidence. »
Listening to the Blésois coach, many teams will experience these situations: “We managed to restart the machine but everything remains fragile for everyone. Maybe we’ll have more moments like this. No one is safe: already in a normal season and even more so in an extremely homogeneous championship. And let’s not forget that we are 20 (teams) this year: the season is longer, the matches are more back to back. »
In the small Gries room, where the Alliance Alsace Sport is often formidable even if it has not particularly performed recently – three defeats in the last four matches – the ADA, reinforced by three hopefuls (Victor Yimga-Moukouri , Ernest Boyomo-Keedi and Pavel Bronner-Szulc), will have to find other solutions to compensate for the two absences, in particular that of its interior. “We have Victor Yimga who can play 4 with the hopefuls, Fabien Damase who has already played 4 and can help out, and why not, depending on how it goes, combine the two greats Flo and Jacques. There are plenty of possibilities. »
The Leaders Cup in the lead
Friday morning, in the Jeu du Palme parking lot, pillows and mattresses under their arms, the Blésois were preparing for a long trip to the East. With the smile and the confidence rediscovered, the desire to sign a third success in a row and to consolidate a place in the four, which, if confirmed at the end of the first legs (at Boulazac), would guarantee qualification for the Leaders Cup .
The event, now without sporting stakes, nevertheless awards “an important and rare trophy in the history of a club”according to general manager Julien Monclar.
