History of the Structure Sport studies
A historic sports structure at Vaucanson high school, the Sports Section has evolved over the years with the development of the organization of Rugby training courses, to become a “Sport Studies” since the start of the 2023 school year.
Former Regional Center of the Alps Committee then FFR Labeled Training Center, the structure has been in partnership with FC Grenoble since the start of the 2018 school year and since 2023 with the AURA league. It is intended for students, girls and boys, wishing to access the “high level youth” sector.
More than 30 players, former students of the section, are currently in TOP 14 and Pro D2 teams. Several of them represent or have represented the section in the French U16, U18, U20 teams (XV and Seven) and within the French XV.
Many national and federal clubs also have in their membership students who have completed their school careers in our high schools.
And triple project
School and sports projects are highlighted and must allow everyone to develop themselves as a responsible and independent young adult.
The very high success rate in the various exams (100% for 17 years) illustrates everyone’s commitment to continuing their education.

Application and recruitment procedure
All students in the section are or will be licensed or dual licensed at FC Grenoble
Applications only concern students entering second GT or Pro (entries in first and final years remain exceptional and are offered directly by the club).
They are done online on the websites of the two high schools or that of FC Grenoble.
Remember to send to the email address indicated, a legible copy (avoid photos if possible) of the bulletin of 1is quarter or 1is semester at the time of application, the 2th quarter will be sent as soon as the class council has taken place.
The study of ”sporting” files is done in consultation with the FCG, a test day will be organized.
The invitations and the organization for this evaluation day will reach you after the closing of applications.
The selected sports files are then proposed to the school board chaired by the high school principals. This issues an opinion (favorable or unfavorable) on the basis of the results and assessments reported on school report cards and possibly contacts with the original establishments.
Families will then be informed of the opinion given by these commissions.
The final list of successful candidates is subject to approval by the AURA league and the Academic Inspectorate which affects (if agreed) the students in the establishments at the end of June.
Maintenance commission
At the end of each year, a committee is held to validate or not the retention of each student in the structure (depending on their academic record, school life and sports).
