(Keystone-ATS) This day will be the apotheosis of a week of solidarity actions organized throughout Switzerland, announces the Chaîne du Bonheur. It is about combating abuse, exploitation and violence against children.
Elisabeth Baume-Schneider, who formerly worked in the social sector, is particularly sensitive to these problems. Along with various personalities, she will support volunteers in receiving pledges. “We need to do even more, especially in early childhood, so that all our children have a solid foundation for their development,” she said, quoted in the press release.
The money collected during the operation which will last this Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. will help finance prevention, accompaniment and support actions for the young people concerned. This involves, for example, encouraging the development of shelters for young girls. Concrete and targeted aid is planned in Switzerland and abroad.
