On December 4, the Agency for North-South Economic and Cultural Development (ADEC-NS Ramonville), chaired by Mr. Gilbert Salinas, and the Franco-Turkish Chamber of Commerce (CCFT) of Toulouse-Occitanie, chaired by Mr. Kadir Tépe , co-hosted an exceptional dinner debate on Turkey’s economic opportunities.
ADEC-NS and CCFT organized a dinner debate marking the first official visit in decades by a high-ranking Turkish delegation to Toulouse. Led by His Excellency the Ambassador of Turkey, Mr. Yunus Demirer, this delegation notably included Mrs. Ayşe Şebnem Manav, Consul General in Bordeaux, Mr. İnan Yıldırımlıdal, commercial attaché in Marseille, and Mr. Antoine Aoun, representative of the Presidential Investment Office in Turkey in Paris. The event brought together a wide range of personalities and economic actors to discuss opportunities for collaboration between France and Turkey.

Mr. Gilbert Salinas opened the festivities, followed by the mayor-president of Toulouse Métropole, who recalled the importance of cultural and economic relations between Turkey, the Occitanie region and France. His Excellency Ambassador Yunus Demirer highlighted his country’s economic prospects, particularly in key sectors such as automobiles and aeronautics. He was joined by Mr. Antoine Aoun, who presented the advantages of the Turkish economy for foreign investors.
Simon Ward, president of Airbus Turkey, testified on the successful establishment of French companies in Turkey, while Thomas Gérard, from Toulouse Airport, insisted on the strategic importance of the direct Toulouse-Istanbul air link .
Among the French companies present were Airbus Defense & Space, Cegelec, Suez, and Sterela, demonstrating the diversity of the sectors involved. This meeting made it possible to explore promising cooperation opportunities.
